About Roppongi Station
Since the 2000s, developments like Roppongi Hills and Tokyo Midtown have turned the Roppongi District into one of Tokyo’s best up-and-coming areas. You'll find sleek luxury hotels that provide lavish accommodations in a more relaxed setting than Shinjuku or downtown Tokyo. The retail offerings are more geared towards upscale tastes and budgets, but it's at least worth window shopping for a bit.
It’s not all luxury shopping, either. Roppongi’s National Art Center is one of the largest and most renowned art museums in all of Japan and forms the "Art Triangle Roppongi" with neighboring institutions Mori Art Museum and Tokyo Midtown's Suntory Museum. It’s also an underrated foodie destination, with regional classics like the kakigori shaved ice and taiyaki fish-shaped pastries.
Roppongi is located in the Minato Ward and is connected to the rest of Tokyo through the Roppongi Subway Station. It's fairly easy to reach through the Hibiya and Oedo subway lines from major hubs like Shinjuku and Tokyo Stations. If you’re planning on taking the train down to this fascinating district, you can stop by our luggage storage service’s spot at 港区六本木6-2-6 GEMS六本木 1&2F serving Roppongi Station.
