About Okachimachi Station

Tucked away between Ueno and Akihabara, the lesser-known Okachimachi is a cramped district embodying the shitamachi (or “Old Tokyo”) aesthetic they only well-researched international travelers ever experience. The area’s understated retail offerings (like the traditional okazu) have seen the bare minimum amount of global influence, so exploring this neighborhood provides an elusive peek into daily Tokyo life. 

While Okachimachi feels out of the way, it's easy to reach thanks to the Yamanote Line and Keihin-Tohoku Line, which call on Okachimachi Station along with the Ginza Subway Line. How to get to or from Okachimachi Station

Okachimachi Station is situated just north of downtown Tokyo near Ueno. It’s located in the well-connected Keihin-Tohoku and Yamanote Lines on the western side of the station and the Ginza Metro Line at the Naka-Okachimachi Station. The Ueno stations are also within easy reach.
