In the early years, it focused primarily on classical music and theatre. Over time, it began incorporating a much broader range of artistic disciplines, including contemporary music, dance, visual arts, film, and literature!

In the early 2000s, the festival’s offerings expanded further to include large-scale events in venues like Kings Park, the Art Gallery of Western Australia, and outdoor spaces along the Swan River. Many performances, particularly in recent years, have taken advantage of Perth's natural beauty and outdoor spaces.

What to Expect When Attending Perth Festival 2025
