At this year's Food & Life trade fair, taste the diversity of traditional Bavarian food and modern gastronomic trends. Experience the fusion of culture and cuisine!

This event was inaugurated in 2004 as part of the Heim + Handwerk trade fair in Munich, Germany. This biannual event is organized by Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH (GHM), a company specializing in craft and trade exhibitions.

Today, Food & Life takes place twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn, at the Messe München Exhibition Center. It brings together culinary professionals and gourmets who want to broaden their palette with many different delicacies. Visitors can taste, buy, and learn new things about a wide range of food and beverages.

Expect a huge crowd. This event attracts around 125,000 visitors yearly!

Around 320 exhibitors will present their products like organic food, dairy products, wine, and much more! Celebrity chefs will reveal their innovative food ideas through live demonstrations at the FOOD START.up Area. Go see who the winners of the NEWCOMER AWARD are!

A fun fact is that this fair concentrates on sustainable organic products, promoting a better lifestyle. These products include fine foods, health foods, herbs, fruits, vegetables, and more.

In late November you can expect chilly weather in Munich. Days will range from 2°C to 9°C (36°F to 48°F), and nights will drop to around 0°C (32°F). Bring an umbrella because it's likely to rain!

Tickets

The visitor's day ticket costs EUR 15.00, while the reduced price for senior citizens, schoolchildren, students, trainees, and severely disabled people is EUR 9.00. An afternoon ticket for entry after 3 PM costs EUR 7.00. You can purchase your ticket here.

Security Protocols

• Security staff will be present at the entrance for bag checks, and throughout the venue to help manage the crowd.
• First aid stations will be positioned at the venue to assist with emergencies.
• Prohibited items include outside drinks, dangerous objects, and large bags or backpacks.

How to Get To or From the Event

To get to the venue, you have these options:

• U-Bahn (Subway): Take the U2 line to Messestadt West or Messestadt Ost stations, both of which are a short walk from the venue.
• S-Bahn (Train): Take the S-Bahn from Munich's main station to the Ostbahnhof, then switch to the U2 toward Messestadt West.
• Bus: Several bus lines also stop near Messe München. Bus routes 139, 183, and 190 all serve the area.
• Car: You can go by car since the venue has several parking areas. The address is Am Messesee 2, 81829 Munich, Germany.
