Vienna International Airport lies roughly 18 km outside of central Vienna and is Austria’s largest flight hub. • St. Stephen’s Cathedral: Built in the 12th century, St. Stephen’s Cathedral is one of Vienna’s most symbolic icons. • Vienna State Opera: For centuries Austria has ranked among the world’s leaders in opera performances. Constructed in the mid-19th century, the Vienna State Opera is one of the country’s grandest stages.   As one of the world’s busiest venues, there will likely be a show scheduled during your visit. The opera house produces over 50 operas per year and shows sometimes change weekly.
