Valencia Central Market

Valencia's Central Market (Mercado Central) is just a 10-minute walk from Valencia Nord and is housed within a stunning early 20th-century building that combines Modernist and Art Nouveau architectural styles. Opened in 1928, the market occupies a prime spot in Valencia's old town, so this is definitely an area you'll want to explore. The intricate façade and colorful domes, which are certainly worth a few photos, encase a bustling interior where light streams through large windows, illuminating the over 300 stalls. These stalls are laden with fresh fruits and vegetables, a variety of meats and fish, local cheeses, and tons of spices and herbs. Artisanal products, such as olive oils, wines, and handmade goods, also make excellent souvenirs of your trip.

City of Arts and Sciences

Known locally as Ciudad de las Artes, this is a futuristic complex that has become an emblem of modern architectural brilliance and cultural enrichment. Designed by the Spanish architects Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, the complex was built in the late 1990s and early 2000s. It has transformed the former Turia riverbed into a spectacular space dedicated to scientific and artistic dissemination. Spanning an area of around two kilometers, the City of Arts and Sciences is comprised of several key structures, each dedicated to a different aspect of science, technology, nature, and art. These are the Hemisfèric with an IMAX cinema and planetarium, the Príncipe Felipe Science Museum, which resembles a whale's skeleton, and l'Oceanogràfic, Europe's largest aquarium.

Puente de las Flores

The Puente de las Flores, or Bridge of Flowers, is a picturesque and emblematic bridge that's just 20 minutes on foot from the station.
