Frequently
asked questions

  • How much does luggage storage cost in Amman?

We charge from $3.20 per day (24 hours) for luggage storage in Amman.

  • Does Amman have luggage lockers?

Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Amman.

  • How does Bounce luggage storage work?

We partner with local businesses around the world who have secure spaces to store luggage for travelers. Just tell us how many bags you have and when you need storage, and we'll show you convenient places you can keep your stuff safe while you explore.

Booking online is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes. To keep our partners and your stuff safe, we'll show you the address of the store once you book online. When you're ready, head to the store and show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation so they can take your bags and securely store them right away. Then you can enjoy your day without having to worry about your bags!

To pick up your bags, show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation and they'll hand over your stuff. That's it!
  • Where is my luggage stored?

We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.

  • What can I store with Bounce?

Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered.

We don't charge extra for oversized items, but some special items might need to be approved before you can store them. For example, surfboards, guitars, car seats, bicycles, or skis take up a lot of space, so let us know if you have them. We can check with the Bounce Partner for you to make sure they have room for your stuff.
  • Is there hourly luggage storage in Amman?

Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Amman.

  • How long can I leave my luggage with Bounce?

Whether you need storage for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we've got you covered! Just put in the dates and times you need luggage storage and we'll show you all of the available locations on our map. For long-term storage lasting more than a week, reach out to us and we'll help you find a convenient location.

If you're already storing your stuff but you need more time, you can add more time from your booking details page. Just make sure the store will be open and you can get your bags before your new pickup time.
  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

Plans change, we get it! If you need to change or cancel your booking for any reason, the best way to do it is from your booking details page in the Bounce app. You can edit the dates, drop-off and pick-up times, and number of bags. You can also cancel your booking or rebook at a nearby store. If you can't find your booking details, check the email address you used to make your booking. You can change your booking by following the link there, or reach out to us if you need support.

Store Your Luggage Around Amman With Bounce

Amman is the largest city and the capital of Jordan, with a population of over four million people. The beginning of the city was founded way back in 7250 BC as a Neolithic site called Ain Ghazal. The name Ammon was chosen during the Iron Age for the Kingdom of the Ammonites, but it was changed to Amman during the Islamic period.

Located in the northwestern section of Jordan, the city is still full of ancient ruins. Explore the Amman Citadel from the fifth century BC, Rujm Al-Malfouf from the first century BC, Qasr Al-Abd from the second century BC, and the Temple of Hercules from 162 AD. As the fourth most popular tourism spot in the Arab Nation, Amman locals dote on visitors to make them feel welcome and at home.

The weather is typically warm and sunny all year long with hot summers in the upper 80s and winters in the upper 50s. If you want to get in some beach time, head to the Dead Sea where you can find several beaches to hang out on to get some rays and go swimming. Check out the Amman Public Beach or the Oh Beach, which are both on Jordan Valley Highway. Be sure to grab a small bottle of sunscreen to put in your pocket.

Amman City Guide

Top Things to Do

Whether you want to shop, eat, drink, or go sightseeing, there are plenty of opportunities to choose from in Amman. Being a top tourist attraction in the country, the city boasts all sorts of activities. Try hiking in one of the many parks, boating or swimming in the Dead Sea, and taking a tour of the ancient ruins. We have chosen our top three museums, shopping opportunities, and eateries in Amman for you.

Museums

There are more than two dozen museums in Amman to explore and enjoy. Some of the most popular include folklore museums, art museums, and children’s museums. But there are many others, such as the auto museum, the museum of traditions, and the tank museum. Be sure you stop at one of the Bounce locations to drop off your bags first.

  • The Roman Theater: Built in the second century AD in the Antoninus Pius reign, this amazing structure is still mostly original and intact. You can almost picture the rulers sitting in the stands watching the activities going on in the main theater. The locals have built it up to fully restore the seating for hosting concerts and other events in the summer and for tourism any time of the year. Don’t miss seeing the shrine where Athena the Goddess statue once stood. You can now see the statue in the Jordan Museum.
  • Jordan Museum: The main museum in the state of Jordan is located in the Ras Al-Ein District on Al Hashemi Street. Marvel at the treasures of Jordan’s history and archaeology as well as research and educational information. Check out the large collection of artifacts and other exhibitions that describe the history of the state and scientific advances since 7500 BC. From the statues in the outdoor garden to the library and conservation center, there are thousands of exciting things to see here. They also have a gift shop and restaurant to enjoy.
  • The Royal Automobile Museum: Car enthusiasts will enjoy admiring over 70 vehicles from the 1950's onward. Many are the personal collection of King Hussein and while here, you can learn about the Royal Family, too.

Shopping

Are you looking for a little (or a lot) retail therapy? Amman has malls, department stores, and small shops, as well as open-air markets and street vendors. You won’t have any problem finding a souvenir stand downtown or near any of the major attractions and hotels. No matter what you are trying to find, just take a look around.

  • Rainbow Street: This is one of the most famous streets to walk along in Amman with many shops and stalls to peruse. Starting at First Circle, you can find the historic street in Lweibdeh by the Citadel Hill ruins and Roman Theater. Many people come here just to see the beautiful architecture of some of the oldest buildings in the city, but souvenir shopping is excellent here, too. There is also a large variety of eateries, bars, and clubs to enjoy. Fridays in the summer are especially popular with a pop-up market called Souk Jara. You can get unique local handicrafts from 10 AM to 10 PM.
  • Mecca Mall: As the largest mall in Amman and the only megamall, you should not be surprised that they are also the most popular for the locals as well as tourists. There are more than 450 shops with big names such as The Body Shop, Casio, and Claire’s as well as restaurants like Hardee’s, McDonald’s, Shawarmaati, and Chicken Sheikh. They even have bowling, cinemas, a gym, and play spaces for the kiddos. So, drop off your bags with Bounce and head to Makkah Al Mukarramah Road.
  • Jordan Craft Center: For the best collection of Jordanian items made in Jordan and Amman, the Jordan Craft Center on Talaat Harb Street in the Talaat Harb Building is the place to go. Founded by the Jordanian alumni of Lebanese American University, the center was opened in 1979 to show off and sell crafts from local artisans. They have a bit of everything, and it is all authentic, including handcrafted jewelry, rugs, pottery, basketry, and much more.

Dining

You may have tasted hummus and falafel bought at the grocery store or your local restaurant, but you haven’t tasted real hummus and falafel until you get it in Amman. These and other favorites can be found all over the city on the street as well as in fancy dining establishments.

  • Tawaheen Alhawaal Hawa: One of the best places to enjoy traditional Jordanian foods is Tawaheen al Hawa on Wasfi Al Tal Street. The atmosphere is both charming and elegant, with your choice of seating either indoors or out on the patio. Local music plays in the background to make your eating experience even more enjoyable. The national dish, mansaf, is well-known here. It is a meal with lamb meat cooked in sheep’s milk yogurt on a bed of rice and wrapped in a thin Bedouin bread. Of course, they have other tempting delights as well as desserts to choose from.
  • Hop N Dogs: Their logo is “Better Food, Better Mood.” This makes perfect sense once you get to this casual and quirky place on King Ghazi Street near Hashemite Square and the Roman Theater. Their specialties include grilled burgers, hot dogs, and fries. But they also have other delicious items like sausages, chicken, salads, and amazing desserts.
  • Reem Cafeteria: Located on Second Circle in downtown Amman, this cafĂ© is known for awesome shawerma as well as fresh bread and veggies. It is almost always crowded since it is a favorite with the locals as well as tourists. And you know if the locals eat there, it has to be good. Their unique yogurt sauce makes the best topping for any kind of sandwich you get here, so order whatever you want with extra sauce.Â
