Calle Ocho, part of the Carnaval Miami, powered by the Kiwanis Club of Little Havana, started modestly in 1978. It aimed to bring together the Cuban-American community and celebrate their tradition. This annual tradition quickly expanded to include a broader representation of Latin American heritage and celebrate Miami's vibrant Latin and Caribbean cultures.

For those curious, the name 'Calle Ocho' refers to the festival's location on Southwest 8th Street (Calle Ocho), a vibrant area in Miami’s Little Havana.

Calle Ocho Music Festival set several Guinness World Records, including the longest conga line in 1988 and the largest flag in 1997, representing the Pan-American identity.

The celebration will start at 11 AM and end at 7 PM.
