The Avalon Airshow (Australian International Airshow), first held in 1992 at Avalon Airport in Victoria, Australia, has grown into one of the Asia-Pacific region's premier aerospace and defense events. It features stunning aerial displays, advanced aviation technology, and defense innovations. The Australian International Airshow is a unique blend of industry, defense, commercial and recreational aviation.

This once-in-a-lifetime event will bring together the largest variety of RAAF assets ever assembled at Avalon, including historical and modern Royal Australian Air Force aircraft. They’ll be joined by a cavalcade of civil aircraft, including historic barnstormers, WWI and WWII aircraft, and the latest jet power from around the globe.

Expect thrilling aerobatic performances from top pilots, military aircraft demonstrations, and spectacular flyovers!

The weather in this region during March ranges from warm to mild. Average daytime temperatures are around 24–28 C (75–82 F), with evenings cooling to about 10–15 C (50–59 F). Rainfall is usually moderate, though occasional showers may occur. Prepare for variable weather with sunscreen, hats for sunny conditions, and a light jacket or umbrella for cooler or wet periods!

Tickets

Choose ticket(s) and purchase them here. The General Admission ticket for those aged 16 and older costs $98. Tickets for children aged 4 to 15 are priced at $25, while children under 4 can enter at no charge. A Family ticket, which includes 2 Adults and 2 Children, is also available for $221.

How to Get To or From the Event

• Car: Avalon Airport is located on the Princes Freeway, about 15 minutes from Geelong and 40-50 minutes from Melbourne. On-site parking is available, but spots can fill quickly during peak times. Plan to arrive early to secure a space.
• Train: Take the Geelong Line train to Lara Station. Shuttle buses will then provide direct transport to the airshow.​
• Bus Services: Special event buses may directly operate from Melbourne, Geelong, and nearby towns to the venue.
