The Garden Jubilee, Western North Carolina's celebration of all things botanical, is a fantasyland of plants, creativity, and expert gardening tips. This event was first organized in 1990. It began as a small gathering of plant enthusiasts but quickly flourished into a lively, two-day celebration that transforms Main Street into a luxurious paradise each Memorial Day weekend. Generations of gardeners have wandered through the festival, discovering rare plants, handmade crafts, and expert advice to cultivate their own green sanctuaries. Today, Garden Jubilee continues to grow and welcomes thousands of visitors who celebrate nature's beauty and bounty.

Nearly 200 plant and craft vendors: This plant extravaganza features local and regional nurseries selling thousands of different flowers, hard-to-find plants, shrubs, trees, and herbs. Discover handmade lawn furniture, jewelry, garden tools, planters, wind chimes, and pottery, as well as delicious local food, fresh produce, and homemade treats.

Live entertainment and family fun: When you need some extra fun, this historic downtown area also offers a lively atmosphere filled with music, entertainment, and interactive experiences for all ages.

Free entrance: Good news! You can attend one of the largest gardening shows in Western North Carolina for free!

• Car: Hendersonville is located off Interstate 26 (I-26). If coming from Asheville, take I-26 East to Exit 49B for US-64 West (Four Seasons Blvd) and follow signs to downtown. From Greenville, SC, take US-25 North to I-26 West, then Exit 49B. Free and paid parking options are available near Main Street. Expect some road closures, so allow extra time to find parking.
• Bus: Apple Country Public Transit operates local bus routes in Hendersonville, but service may be limited during the festival. Check the official website before visiting to see if there are routes.
