Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Sloterdijk.
We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.
Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Sloterdijk.

Sloterdijk has been completely transformed in recent years. What was once a small and thinly populated village is now a thriving suburb boasting modern accommodations, a thriving art scene, and unique activities for travelers looking to experience something a little different. Sloterdijk is becoming especially popular among backpackers and budget travelers looking for a modern experience close to Amsterdam without the hefty price tag.
Located in the North Holland province, Sloterdijk is less than three kilometers from the center of Amsterdam. This makes it easy to venture out for a day trip or a simple commute if you prefer to stay here instead of in the city center. The Sloterdijk Train Station makes this possible, with various services connecting the two destinations.
Interestingly, the town was founded in the 14th century, although it hasn’t experienced much notoriety since then, often overshadowed by the larger and more popular Amsterdam. The town has, however, played an important economic role, with trade growing significantly in the area throughout the 19th Century. This was largely due to the train line connecting the town and Amsterdam to other parts of the country. Today, tourism is a growing part of the town’s economy.
Whether you’re here to sightsee, on a business trip, or have a few hours before going to Amsterdam, take this chance to get to know Sloterdijk. The town has unique tourist attractions and hidden gems, offering hours of entertainment. While you're here, take advantage of our luggage storage options; download the Bounce app and complete your booking online for luggage storage that works for you.

Learn more about WWII with a visit to the Anne Frank House, a house museum in Amsterdam. This was the home where Anne Frank and her family hid from the Nazis, and by visiting it, you’ll get a better insight into what life was like for her during this time. The audio tour is especially engaging and informative, helping you to live out Anne’s story as you navigate your way around the house.
The Anne Frank House is a fairly small and delicate space, and there are some limitations regarding what can be brought inside. Only items smaller than a regular A4 sheet of paper are allowed in the museum, and there is a designated space where you can leave your coat, umbrella, buggy, or bags for the duration of your visit. Book luggage storage with us and stow your things before you discover Anne’s story.
This famous town square is located in the heart of Amsterdam and hosts various events. Wander through the square to observe the crowds and soak in the atmosphere. Some of its main draws are the notable buildings that surround it, like the Royal Palace Amsterdam and the National Monument. If it’s your first time in the city this place should be on your sightseeing list.
This one is for art lovers and history buffs. Rijksmuseum is one of Amsterdam’s most popular museums and well worth a visit for its many excellent exhibits. It’s a national museum that dedicates itself to exposing and preserving Dutch arts and history, and it definitely deserves a spot on your Amsterdam itinerary. Its collection houses more than 8,000 works, some of which were made by the likes of Van Gogh, Rembrandt, and Vermeer.
This museum has similar rules to the one mentioned above, allowing guests to enter only with handbags and items under the size of an A4 paper. Large bags and umbrellas must be stored in the cloakroom, or you can store luggage with us instead. Our services differ from traditional storage lockers since we allow booking in advance, meaning you’ll never have to worry about not having space and won’t be stuck waiting in long lines to drop off your things.
Get some fresh air by walking or cycling through this beautiful and lush park. Sized at 47 hectares, Vondelpark is quite impressive and also the largest green space in the city. You can easily spend a few hours enjoying the natural atmosphere of the space, either by going on a bike ride, playing sports or throwing a frisbee in the fields, or just sitting down with a blanket and a book. It’s also a great spot for a picnic!
Amsterdam’s street art is truly something that makes it stand out from other cities. Colorful murals, modern sculptures, and more can be seen around the city, some striking in detail or meaning. You’ll be able to spot outdoor artwork if you keep your eyes peeled while walking around the city and its parks, but the best place to go to appreciate this form of art is the NDSM neighborhood, which is where much of Amsterdam’s street art is located.
Enjoy the beauty of Haarlemmertrekvaart. This canal is located between Amsterdam and Haarlem in North Holland and is just a short trip away from Sloterdijk. This canal differs from the rest because it was dug in 1631, which makes it the oldest tow-canal in Holland. As you stroll by the waterway, try imagining how it used to be used; in the past, animals would walk along the edge of the canal and tow barges behind them.
Sightseeing in Sloterdijk will mean a full itinerary. If you have more plans after your visit and don’t want to carry your bags around, stop by the nearest luggage storage spot and drop off your things. We can watch over them for the entire day.
Located just a short drive from Sloterdijk is a mall called Kalverpassage, an upmarket shopping destination with three floors. The mall is modern and clean, with contemporary art sculptures scattered between local shops selling everything from big-name fashion apparel and accessories to souvenirs and plants. Whether you’re looking for something specific or want to window shop, this mall is a good place to start. Dining options are also available in the mall.
Although it only has one floor, you can still find everything you need in this shopping mall. The space is home to more than 90 businesses, ranging from supermarkets to clothing stores and pharmacies to toy shops. With several rave-worthy restaurants, you won’t have to leave the mall for hours, making it the optimal activity for rainy days.
It’s hard to miss this shopping mall near Dam Square which stands out with its beautiful neo-Gothic architecture that dates back to the 19th century. The building used to be the main post office of Amsterdam before it was transformed into a shopping complex in 1992 and still has beautiful high ceilings and archways. Inside the mall is a wide range of international and independent vendors, including big brands and small retailers selling Dutch specialties.
Kaagman & Kortekaas have been making a name for themselves since they opened in 2015, offering expertly chosen and prepared food and drink to locals and tourists in Amsterdam. It’s hard to say what’ll be on the menu when you order since it changes so often, but there’s usually a tasty homemade charcuterie or dishes made with venison, oysters, foie gras terrine, or cote de boeuf, to name a few.
Cradam is housed in what was formerly a water pumping station, which is far from what the 19th-century building is used for now. Today, you can enter through its doors and be greeted by the delicious aroma of perfectly cooked meals, ranging from steak frites to coq au vin and oeufs mayonnaise. The restaurant is spacious and has high ceilings and windows, although dining on the terrace is just as pleasant. They also have a kid's menu, so feel free to dine here with the whole family.
It’s hard to find a better place to eat than Restaurant Flore, which has earned two Michelin stars. The restaurant is set in a beautiful spot by the canal and has a classy yet welcoming setting. Their dishes, which showcase local ingredients and are always perfectly plated, are well-complemented by the fantastic wine list. Their menu changes all the time since they take advantage of seasonal ingredients as much as possible, offering dishes of seafood, meats, or even completely vegetarian and vegan friendly menus. If you aren’t sure what to order, go for the tasting menu or the “vegetable of the moment.”
