Organized by the City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department and sponsored by Arizona Public Service (APS), the Electric Light Parade celebrates its 37th edition this year.

This year's theme is 'Let Every Holiday Shine.' The APS Electric Light Parade is a shiny spectacle that makes this holiday season even merrier!

Get ready! The event takes place on Saturday, December 7, starting at 7 PM.

What to Expect When Attending APS Electric Light Parade 2024

The parade route starts from Montebello Ave. and goes on to Camelback Road. Then, it heads east to 7th Street, from where participants continue down the street to the Indian School Road.

Bring your family and friends since the fun is guaranteed!

Illuminated floats with holiday-themed designs, marching bands, dancers, and performers will all put a smile on your face. Santa will be there with his reindeer, elves, and snowmen—a truly delightful show!

Food vendors will be offering different snacks and drinks. Keep yourself warm with a cup of hot cocoa!

Expect mild weather, with daytime temperatures being around 63°F (17°C) and dropping down to around 47°F (8°C) at night. Dress comfortably and bring a jacket or a sweater for the colder evenings.

Security Protocols

• Police officers will patrol the area to maintain order and assist with accidents.
• Expect random bag checks at specific access points.
• Prohibited items include large bags, alcohol, and dangerous objects.
• Medical personnel will be at the venue to provide help in case of emergencies.

How to Get To or From the Event

• Light Rail: The light rail runs through central Phoenix and has multiple stops near the parade route, such as the Encanto/Central Ave or Thomas/Central Ave stations.
• Bus: Routes 0, 29, 41, and 50 will take you to the venue. Check the Valley Metro Rail website for schedules and the best route for buses and light rails, depending on your location.
• Car: You can drive by car, but be aware of the road closures and limited parking. Arrive early to find a good spot.

APS Electric Light Parade 2024 Bag Policy

Clear bags that don't exceed the size of 12" x 6" x 12" are allowed. Also, you can enter with a small bag or purse no larger than 4.5" x 6.5". The event doesn't provide an area to store larger bags or luggage.
