What to Expect When Attending National Western Stock Show 2025

Expect to see livestock shows, competitions, and exhibitions, like cattle shows! Sheep, goats, pigs, and horses will also be on display, and if you’re interested in livestock, the livestock auction is one of the main highlights. It’s a spot where farmers, breeders, and buyers gather to purchase animals.

On January 12, be prepared for the Mexican Rodeo Extravaganza! This show by Jerry Diaz will bring you Mexican-style bull riding, bareback riding, trick roping, and much more! January 21 will get you a special MLK Jr. African-American Heritage Rodeo with top cowboys and cowgirls from the Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo competing in all your favorite pro rodeo events. Events include barrel racing, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, mutton bustin’, ladies’ steer undecorating, and so on! You'll see some amazing tricks, guaranteed!

The weather will be pretty cold, with occasional snow. Average daytime temperatures in Denver in January range from 30°F to 45°F (around -1°C to 7°C), and nighttime temperatures can drop to 20°F to 30°F (-6°C to -1°C). Dress in layers and enjoy!
