Step into a magical world of winter wonderland to celebrate the holiday spirit at this year's ICE! at the Gaylord!

In 2002, Gaylord Hotels, a luxury hospitality brand owned by Ryman Hospitality Properties, hosted the inaugural ICE! exhibition at the Gaylord Opryland Resort in Nashville, Tennessee. Interestingly, the event was inspired by the Harbin International Ice and Snow Sculpture Festival in Harbin, China, a city renowned for its ice carving traditions. Today, 40 master artisans from Harbin travel to Grapevine, Texas, to create the stunning ice sculptures displayed in the Gaylord Hotels’ ICE! exhibition.

The exhibit in Nashville was so popular that it started to be held in other Gaylord Properties, such as the Gaylord Texan in Grapevine, the Gaylord Palms in Orlando, Florida, and the Gaylord National in Washington, D.C.

The event is structured to center around one theme every year. Some of the past themes were The Grinch and A Charlie Brown Christmas! Gaylord Texan Resort announced this year's awesome theme: Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer!

This spectacle spans almost two months, so mark the date: 15 November to 5 January. Come and create magical memories at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center!

What to Expect When Visiting ICE at the Gaylord 2024

You can expect a lot of fun! The story featuring Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer will be truly special since it will present your favorite scenes from this classic!

The ice carvings will impress you the most—from tiny ice sculptures to those more than 30 feet tall—2 million pounds of ice are used for this purpose!

You'll have photo-worthy moments while taking pictures with Santa, going down the frozen slides, and enjoying a yuletide glide on a 6,000-square-foot skating rink with real ice!

• Car: If you're going by car, use GPS to reach the address. The resort has parking areas, but arrive on time to secure your spot.
• Trinity Metro: The buses can take you close to the resort. Check the Trinity Metro website for routes and schedules.
• DART: DART, or the Dallas Area Rapid Transit, is also available. You can use it in combination with buses to reach the venue.
