Frequently
asked questions

  • How much does luggage storage cost in Iloilo City?

We charge from $3.20 per day (24 hours) for luggage storage in Iloilo City.

  • Does Iloilo City have luggage lockers?

Yes, but they're not always the best option. Luggage lockers can fill up quickly and may be unavailable when you need them. Some luggage lockers may be too small to fit large or bulky items. Unlike luggage lockers, we don't charge per hour and instead charge a flat rate for 24 hours of storage. We also have partners who watch over your stuff to make sure it's safe, and can answer any questions you may have or give you advice on what to do in Iloilo City.

  • How does Bounce luggage storage work?

We partner with local businesses around the world who have secure spaces to store luggage for travelers. Just tell us how many bags you have and when you need storage, and we'll show you convenient places you can keep your stuff safe while you explore.

Booking online is super easy and only takes a couple of minutes. To keep our partners and your stuff safe, we'll show you the address of the store once you book online. When you're ready, head to the store and show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation so they can take your bags and securely store them right away. Then you can enjoy your day without having to worry about your bags!

To pick up your bags, show the Bounce Partner your booking confirmation and they'll hand over your stuff. That's it!
  • Where is my luggage stored?

We only partner with trusted businesses who have a dedicated, secure place to keep your luggage safe. Some businesses may store luggage behind a counter that's off-limits to customers, while others may have storage rooms or closets for your luggage. But no matter where you choose to leave your luggage, our partners will keep it safe.

  • What can I store with Bounce?

Luggage, backpacks, gym bags, and more! Bounce is like having a personal storage facility for your stuff anywhere you go, so you can leave much more than just luggage with us. Whether you want to store your luggage after checking out of your Airbnb or want to drop off your work bag before hitting happy hour, we've got you covered.

We don't charge extra for oversized items, but some special items might need to be approved before you can store them. For example, surfboards, guitars, car seats, bicycles, or skis take up a lot of space, so let us know if you have them. We can check with the Bounce Partner for you to make sure they have room for your stuff.
  • Is there hourly luggage storage in Iloilo City?

Yes, but many companies charge per hour and costs can add up fast. We charge one price for 24 hours of storage, so storing your stuff is more affordable in Iloilo City.

  • How long can I leave my luggage with Bounce?

Whether you need storage for a couple of hours or a couple of days, we've got you covered! Just put in the dates and times you need luggage storage and we'll show you all of the available locations on our map. For long-term storage lasting more than a week, reach out to us and we'll help you find a convenient location.

If you're already storing your stuff but you need more time, you can add more time from your booking details page. Just make sure the store will be open and you can get your bags before your new pickup time.
  • How do I change or cancel my booking?

Plans change, we get it! If you need to change or cancel your booking for any reason, the best way to do it is from your booking details page in the Bounce app. You can edit the dates, drop-off and pick-up times, and number of bags. You can also cancel your booking or rebook at a nearby store. If you can't find your booking details, check the email address you used to make your booking. You can change your booking by following the link there, or reach out to us if you need support.

Store your luggage around Iloilo City with Bounce

If you're traveling to the Philippines, you should really take a side trip throughout the smaller islands outside of Manila. Easily one of the best destinations is Iloilo City, which is located on the island of Panay and is one of the more fascinating historical and cultural experiences in the country. The UNESCO-listed Miagao Church and the centuries-old Molo Church are two of the most revered Catholic sites in all of Asia and have become a pilgrimage for the Filipino diaspora along with other Catholic travelers.

Iloilo City is famous throughout the Philippines for its Dinagyang Festival, which celebrates the city’s religious and cultural heritage while providing folk entertainment and parades. Filipino cuisine is seriously underrated in other countries, and Iloilo City boasts one of the more interesting regional cuisines. Highly local delicacy La Paz Batchoy noodle soup is imitated throughout the country, but you can really only taste the real deal in Iloilo City.

If you're planning on hitting multiple cities throughout the Philippines during your trip, you'll want to plan ahead when making it to Iloilo City. Here's everything you need to know:

Luggage storage in Iloilo City

Iloilo City has fairly expensive public transportation and infrastructure, so you'll have a few options for storing your bags on a travel day. Filipino transit facilities, like bus and train stations commonly offer smart lockers, but this is more the case in Manila than it is in smaller cities. Heading straight to your hotel is always an option, but this can waste valuable time when you're trying to sightsee after arriving in town. The best option for luggage storage Iloilo City has available is a luggage storage service like Bounce.

Bounce partners with local businesses and shops throughout the Philippines, including convenient locations in Iloilo City. With our handy mobile app, you can search for the nearest locations and even book luggage storage on the go. Bounce also has strict quality standards so you know the storage facility is secure and reliable. With premium features like 24/7 customer support and BounceShield Protection, your whole experience will be stress-free.

Museums in Iloilo City

Miagao Church

Known officially as Saint Thomas of Villanova Church, this 18th-century cathedral boasts incredible Baroque-Romanesque architecture that uses limestone and even corals to create its distinctive yellow facade. Miagao Church is so beloved, amongst locals and revered by the Catholic Filipino people, that it's been designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It's situated in the town of Miagao, which is about a 40-minute bus ride from Iloilo City, but it's absolutely worth the day trip as you can also explore the small village where it's located.

Dinagyang Festival

One of the largest festivals in the Philippines, Dinagyang draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city from all over the world. Observed annually on the fourth Sunday of January, the festival celebrates the city’s catholic Heritage along with commemorating the arrival of Malay settlers on the island of Penang. The whole city erupts in dancing, parades, music, and feasts, all of which are almost impossibly colorful.

Explore the Old Colonial Mansions

The European influence in The Philippines extends beyond just a few old (albeit magnificent) churches. Some of the most beautiful homes in Iloilo City can be traced back to the Spanish colonial presence, and these mansions have been preserved by historical societies and opened to the public. You can tour the opulent former homes of sugar plantation owners and other (historically complicated) landowners or simply stroll down the neighborhood’s “millionaire’s row” to admire the mansion facades.

A few notable examples include Nelly’s Garden (Vicente Lopez Heritage House), Molo Mansion (Yusay-Consing Mansion), the 200-year-old Casa Mariquit, and the 19th-century Camiña Balay Bato, which features a stylish restaurant.

Shopping in Iloilo City

Calle Real

By far the busiest stretch in Iloilo City, Calle Real (the name itself is Spanish), this main street is lined with colonial buildings from the 19th century. Some of these are mansions and houses, and some are filled with plenty of stores and cafés worth exploring. It’s also locally referred to as Heritage Street.

SM City Iloilo

The largest shopping mall on the island is situated right in the city center, and you'll find all your standard offerings, including plenty of recognizable international brands.

The Esplanade

The River Esplanade runs through the city and is one of the most popular places to head for a quick stroll along the water. You'll also find tons of street food vendors and stalls where locals will sell handmade goods and souvenirs.

 Restaurants in Iloilo City

Tatoy’s Manokan and Seafood

You’re on an island, so it’s safe to assume you’ll be able to find hyper-fresh seafood literally anywhere you go in Iloilo City, but if you want the best and most authentic fish and seafood, head to the iconic Tatoy’s. Their menu rotates based on what the catches were, but the favorites are baked oysters, scallops, blue marlin, shrimp, and fishtail soup. There’s also some meat on the menu, including lechon manok, which is a heavily spiced roasted chicken. The spacious dining room makes it the ideal place for larger groups and family-style dining.

Roberto’s Siopao

There’s a surprising amount of Chinese food throughout the Philippines, and easily the most popular dish is the Siopao, which are these delightful steamed buns stuffed with meats, eggs, and vegetables. Roberto’s serves some of the best in the country, with the perfect fluffy buns to encapsulate a wide variety of Chinese and Filipino fillings. The most popular are pork adobo, Chinese sausage, chicken adobo, and even bacon. Head to Calle Real for this casual soot for either a snack or put together a feast with your crew to sample every flavor on the menu.

Netong’s Original Special La Paz Batchoy

If you’re trying to get the full experience, there’s simply no skipping Iloilo's batchoy, the savory soup that’s become the city’s calling card. You’ll find plenty of worthy shops serving up steamy bowls, but the quintessential spot is La Paz Batchoy, which has been the authority on the dish since it first opened in La Paz Public Market in the 1940s. Order a bowl with the meat of your choice and make sure to add a few puto steamed rice cakes to dip in the broth.

Conclusion

If you've made it to Iloilo City, you've likely traveled a long way and want to go sightseeing as soon as you get into town. Instead of wasting time by heading directly to the hotel, find the nearest Bounce luggage storage location, and drop the bags off so you can maximize every second of your trip. And if you plan to explore more of the country, we also have convenient storage locations in Gapan City, Quezon City, and Makati.
